In 2013 Walmart was apart of the biggest class action gender lawsuit in America. Women, making up 57% of Walmart's workforce, were reportedly occupying just low-wage positions with very few positions in management despite having, on average, longer tenures and better performance ratings.

The Unites States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has found
White Way Cleaners in Minneapolis, Minnesota guilty of discrimination
against an employee for being pregnant. Once they were aware that their
employee was pregnant she was transferred, denied a raise and later
terminated, after finding out she was pregnant again.
